The Alliance is pleased to announce that it is now commissioning and publishing reviews of Public History online and in the Journal of Texas History. “Standard reviews should be 1,000–1,500 words,” says Public History Editor Justin Randolph. “But the Journal also hopes to explore other forms of reviewing in this section.” Q&A’s between reviewers and creators. Photo essays. Forums with multiple critics. All are welcome as we highlight the ideas and art that put history to work in the world.

Public History means many things, such as historic sites, monuments, museum exhibits, digital humanities resources, oral history projects, podcasts, and archives. The Journal needs your help covering these items and learning what we’re missing.

Use this form to recommend a project worthy of review or to express your interest in serving as a reviewer. Please send us your ideas, and we’ll be in touch.

If you have a public history project that should be the focus of a review, please use this form, or email submission@jtxh.org. To search for a title press CTRL-F.
