ATxH Seeks Co-Editor
for the Journal of Texas History

The Alliance for Texas History is seeking a new Co-Editor for The Journal of Texas History.

Along with Co-Editor Rebecca Sharpless, Ben Johnson has served as the Co-Editor of the Journal of Texas History since its conception. Ben will step down from his role with the Journal effective July 1, the end of the two-year commitment initially agreed upon, in order to assume new duties at Loyola University Chicago.

The Journal of Texas History is an open-access publication available through the University of Texas at Arlington Libraries and by print-on-demand. JTxH publishes two issues a year, Volume 2, No. 1, scheduled for early summer 2026.

We seek a scholar of Texas history with editorial aptitude and experience. A willingness to work as part of a team with other volunteer editors and an appreciation for the wide range of subjects within Texas history are essential.
